Hey
everyone! This week has definitely been better than the last one. Gone by much
faster and we are now in a pretty steady rythmn. But i{m starting to get burned
out of sitting in a classroom learning spanish and fake teaching. I{ve always
hated fake teaching because the teachers expect you to be so serious and teach
with the spirit but it{s very difficult to do that when it{s all staged. I
haven{t really been homesick at all but i{m starting to feel homesick for Chile
which is weird since i{ve never been there before so that{s cool. Spiritual
experience of the week... At the temple last tuesday we went into the room
where get your clothes and there was a painting behing me on the wall behind me
that I didn{t see going in but I saw it on the way out. It was a painting of
Christ during the atonement. He was dressed in a red robe, and he was draped
over an angel who was there with him. I really had to ponder about that angel
and what I would do if that was me. All he could do was hold the Savior of the
world in his arms and do his best to comfort him while he went through more
pain and anguish than anyone that was ever born or that will ever be born. I
imagined myself in that position and I decided that if the lord was performing
the atonement right now right in front of me that I wouldn{t be strong enough
to watch him do it. I decided that in the next 2 years out in a different land
I want to become close enough to Christ and become spiritually strong enough
that I could be there for him like he was there for me. Boom spiritual
experience.
So one or
two things about Mexico.
1' We
hear gunshots and cops and fireworks pretty mych every night but its ok because
this place is tight like unto a dish
2'It
rains everyday at about 5 PM and that is my absolute favorite time of days
Alright
there ya go thats it from me for this week! Love you all!
