Hi again
hijo mio,
I have
some more addresses for you:
Chad: chad.yorgason@gmail.com (until
September 4)
Matt: matthew.gatherum@myldsmail.net (as of
Wednesday August 1)
Kenzie: kenziespencer1999@yahoo.com
Heidi: heidikofoed12@gmail.com (although
Heidi tells me you’ve already been emailing back & forth…)
Michelle:
michfelix8@gmail.com
Also, I
have had a couple of people comment on the great email you sent last week,
something about an insight into the Tree of Life and I have searched back and
can’t find whatever email they’re all talking about. Including Father
Mateo quoting you in his farewell talk on Sunday. Maybe you could send it
again?
Last night mom and me and Isaac went out to eat- since he’s an only child this whole week. We headed to Preston for a restaurant that mom had heard about, but it turned out it had shut down and crickets were chirping as she peered into the dark building. So I was so personally hungry I couldn’t make it back to Logan before death, and Isaac said he wanted Panda Express so we found the next best thing a block away, a nice little out of the way Chinese restaurant. The food was good, and when they brought us back our fortune cookies, mom took hers and said “these are always super accurate.” And then she opened it and there was no fortune inside. Isaac and I had some nice fortunes, depending on how you might interpret them, mine said I would soon be crossing the “great waters.” What? Maybe it was a closer call than I thought last night, dying of starvation. I am not sure which is worse though, getting a fortune that tells you you’re about to “cross over” or “pass on” or whatever that was supposed to mean… or opening a cookie and not getting any fortune at all. It’s like the entire Universe doesn’t even care. Maybe mom needs a little extra abrazo via email this week.
Well I
did a little research on fortune cookies and there are some very creative ones
out there, but you’ll be especially interested to know that: “Fortune cookie toilet paper, with words of wisdom that
appear when the paper is moistened, has become popular among university
students in Italy and Greece.”
I was especially excited to include this tidbit in your email today since it
contains the word “moistened” and mom and Teesh will surely
enjoy it that much more.
Steamboat
Geyser erupted again on July 20.
Still
hasn’t rained here since you left…
I’m very
proud of you!
Love Dad
